In fact, it might only be the beginning if events that took place over the weekend are any indication. Sunday saw additional moves at the No. 2 search engine as it prepares for another competitive push against rival Google.First, Yahoo said it would combine its Search and Display advertising sales teams in the U.S. The company has appointed David Karnstedt, currently senior vice president of Yahoo’s Search sales business, to lead the unified organization as head of North American Sales. “This is one of many important steps we’re taking to reinvigorate our display business, further build on our industry-leading position in advertising, and drive thought-leadership in the online advertising marketplace,” Yahoo President Sue Decker said in a statement.
